A rape case has been filed against Khandaker Mustaque Ahmed, member of the governing body of Motijheel Ideal School and College, who married a student of Class XI of the same institution.
Md Saiful Islam, father of the college student, filed the case against Mustaque and the college Principal Fauzia Rashedi.
Omar Faruk Faruki, a lawyer of the plaintiff, confirmed the matter on Thursday morning.
He said a case petition in this regard was filed on August 1 with the court of Dhaka Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal-8.
After recording the deposition, the tribunal ordered the officer-in-charge (OC) of Gulshan Police Station to accept the complaint as a regular case.
In the case statement, the plaintiff mentioned that the accused Mustaque used to come to the college on various excuses and called his daughter from the class to the principal's room.
In the name of seeking information, his daughter was lured by various temptations. After a few days, Mustaque made a proposal to have a relation with the student. As his daughter did not agree with her, he (Mustaque) took the girl and forcibly married her and threatened his family.
The plaintiff requested the principal of the college to take action regarding such conduct.
Despite repeatedly seeking support from the principal, she did not cooperate but continued to help the accused unethically, the father claimed in the case statement.
Later, when the plaintiff took her daughter to his house in Thakurgaon last June 12, Mustaque along with his men kidnapped his daughter from there.
Thereafter, he came to know that the accused was forcing her daughter to perform immoral acts and sexually assaulting her at different places every day.
On June 22 last, the girl’s father filed an abduction case against Mustaque in Thakurgaon district.
Earlier, Mustaque said: “We both got married last March. I did not want to disclose the matter for various reasons.”
When asked why there is such criticism against him, Mustaque said: "I have won elections three times, I have become a member of the governing body. Many people cannot accept it.”
