Four BNP and Jubo Dal leaders, including Gazipur BNP President Shawkat Hossain Sarker, have reportedly been detained in front of the Housebuilding Finance Corporation in Uttara, Dhaka.
Police detained them on Saturday afternoon, Jubo Dal sources said.
Gazipur metro thana Jubo Dal Convener Nazmul Khandaker Sumon said: “Police detained four BNP men while they were participating in a peaceful sit-in in Uttara.”
There was no immediate comment from the police.
