Cylinder blast: Death toll rises to 3 in Dhaka

Two more people died on Tuesday while undergoing treatment due to injuries caused by the gas cylinder blast incident in Dhaka’s Sayedabad area, taking the death toll to three.

Abul Kalam, 50, with 80% burn injuries, and Md Ripon, 40, with 60% burn injuries, succumbed to death at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.

Hospital Resident Surgeon Dr SM Ayub Hossain confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune.

Another victim, Bishwanath Dutta, also breathed his last on Sunday.

Two of the injured are currently admitted in hospital.

On November 13, six people sustained burn injuries when a gas cylinder exploded at a tea stall in Sayedabad, Jatrabari, in the capital.
