Switch Bangladesh Foundation is providing free wheelchair services at the Amar Ekushey book fair at the capital's Bangla Academy premises.
Volunteers of the organization on Sunday said they have been providing this service for the last nine years for people with disabilities.
They also stated that they provide the service for as long as the person wants to roam around the fair.
The youth organization has kept 20 wheelchairs at TSC and Doel Chattar area of Dhaka University, and Bangla Academy organized the wheelchairs.
Volunteers of Switch Bangladesh Foundation, an organization of students from various universities are running the service from 3pm to 8pm every day.
The volunteers said they participate in the service program for personal fulfillment and satisfaction.
Volunteer Shahriar Emon stated: "I have been serving individuals with disabilities at the fair for the last nine years. Guiding them brings me joy. This is our form of service, and it's self-rewarding."
