Metro trains to stop at Pallabi station from Wednesday

Passengers will be able to board the metro trains from the Pallabi station from Wednesday.

Both Agargaon and Uttara will be accessible from Pallabi, according to the metro rail authorities.

Additional Project Director of MRT Line-6 Md Zakaria said the trains previously operated directly from Uttara to Agargaon and vice versa.

Starting Wednesday, they will make a stop at the Pallabi station, he added. “Our trains run on their own. We used to program “skip station”, but from Wednesday, the program to skip the Pallabi station will not be there.”

He further said: “Sufficient manpower, elevators, escalators, ticket machines, ticket counters are all ready for the station.”

Ticket sales will start at 8am on Wednesday.

The Uttara to Agargaon segment of the nation's first metro rail was made accessible to the general public on December 29.
