The Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) is working continuously to remove two hundred trees which have been uprooted in the area during cyclone 'Sitrang' that swept over the country last night.
The concerned department of DNCC is working continuously to resolve the flooding caused by heavy rains under the influence of Sitrang. As a result, traffic has been normal since morning, a DNCC press release said.
Water has already been drained from the main roads. Under the instructions of DNCC mayor Atiqul Islam, the engineering department, waste department and related departments are working since Monday night. Measures are being taken by monitoring the water logging situation in the city round the clock.
DNCC has requested the citizens to take pictures and mention the location through the 'Sabar Dhaka' app if there is any water accumulation anywhere.
