The Dhaka South City Corporation removed around 21,000 metric ton of sacrificial animal waste in the three days of Eid-ul-Azha.
On Tuesday, DSCC workers dumped 20,626.43 metric ton of waste at the Matuail Central Bhagar, according to a media statement.
According to the statement, 935 sacrificial animals were slaughtered in 58 wards on the third day of Eid till 3:30pm.
Animals were slaughtered in all the wards except wards no: 4, 6, 9, 10, 11, 18, 31, 52, 59-61, 63, 67, 71, 72 and 75.
DSCC removed the waste by 6pm and dumped the waste at Matuail, the statement said, adding that on the first day they were able to remove all the waste within 11.5 hours.
