Three staff of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) were injured in an attack by some activists of the college unit Chhatra League during a program on Monday.
The injured were identified as Jony, Bashar and Naim.
Shipon Mia, general secretary of Bangladesh Grade Four Government Workers’ Association, said that the staff of the hospital were holding a sit-in program in front of the college principal’s office in the morning demanding cancellation of recruitment of outsourcing manpower.
At one stage, the Chhatra League activists swooped on them leaving three people injured.
When the news spread, the hospital staff confined the students after closing the main gate of the ward corridor, creating panic among the patients.
Later, the authorities brought the situation under control and released the students.
