A private car caught fire in the capital’s Hatirjheel area on Thursday evening, creating panic among commuters.
According to the Fire Service and Civil Defense Headquarters, the fire originated from the engine of the car around 6:15pm on the Hatirjheel Road near the FDC crossing.
Being informed, two firefighting units rushed to the spot and doused the flame around 7:13pm.
Md Shahjahan Sikder, deputy assistant director (Media cell) of Fire Service and Civil Defense headquarters confirmed the matter.
