A teenager has been stabbed to death and another injured while they were riding a motorcycle in Dhaka's Hatirjheel area.
They were stabbed in Begunbari area of Hatirjheel around 8:30pm on Sunday.
The deceased is Shipon Hasan, 18, and the injured is his friend Manik, 16. Both were from Dhaka's Madhubag area and employed in an automobile garage.
The duo's friend Khokon said: "A group of men slowed down Shipon and Manik's motorcycle and stabbed them when they went for a ride in Hatirjheel.
"They were rescued and taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital emergency department around 10:45pm, where Shipon died around midnight."
Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police outpost Inspector Md Bachchu Mia confirmed the matter.
The reason behind the attack is still unknown.
