A youth has been killed and two others injured after their motorcycle lost control and crashed on the Mayor Mohammad Hanif Flyover in Dhaka.
The accident took place nearby a turn on the flyover in Jatrabari area around 9:45pm on Friday, witnesses and police said.
The deceased was identified as Rony, 22; and the injured were Shovon, 23, and Shamim, 23. All three friends lived in the capital’s Donia area.
After their motorcycle crashed, witnesses and pedestrians rushed them to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where on-duty doctor declared Rony dead around 10:30pm, said DMCH police outpost’s in-charge Inspector Md Bachchu Mia.
The other two were admitted to the hospital for further treatment.
Jatrabari police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mazharul Islam said they were informed about the incident and investigating.
