Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has conducted a drive in the Mohakhali area of Dhaka to evict illegal establishments from the footpaths.
The mobile court, led by DNCC executive magistrate Mir Nahid Ahsan, conducted activities from 11am to 2:30pm on Thursday.
The team evicted 70 illegal establishments from in front of Mohakhali Community Center, BRAC University, and Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation.
During the drive, the mobile court fined two business houses Tk5000 and Tk10,000 respectively for doing business by encroaching the footpath.
