Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has run another drive at the house of Abul Kalam Azad, an employee of Awami League's Gandaria unit Vice President Enamul Haque Enu.
The raid took place on Tuesday afternoon in Dhaka's Narinda area, confirmed RAB 3 Commanding Officer Lt Colonel Shafi Ullah Bulbul.
RAB officials found one vault, from which they seized Tk2 crore and a revolver, he said.
“Enamul hid this vault in one of his employee's house. Azad [the employee], however, was not aware that there was Tk2 crore and a revolver wrapped in a cloth.”
The law enforcement officials claimed the money and the revolver belong to Enamul.
Apart from this, RAB was also about to raid another house in Narinda’s Sarat Chardra Gupta lane, till the filing of this report.
