Bangladesh and India have held secretary-level talks to discuss water-related issues between the two neighbours.
Indian Water Resources Secretary Upendra Prasad Singh and his Bangladesh counterpart Kabir Bin Anwar are leading their respective delegations, an official said.
The meeting began in the state guesthouse Meghna around 11am on Thursday, with a media briefing scheduled for 5:45pm.

Both sides are likely to discuss ways to go for a joint study to ensure the best use of Ganges water. Bangladesh and India share 54 trans-boundary rivers.
On Tuesday, Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Riva Ganguly Das met State Minister for Water Resources Zaheed Farooque and discussed matters related to water-related issues between the two neighbours.
