Former UN chief Ban Ki-moon's wife, Yoo Soon-taek, visited the Proyash Institute of Special Education and Research, which is sponsored by the Bangladesh Army.
Also the Chairman of the Global Commission on Adaptation, Ban Ki-moon arrived in Dhaka on Tuesday for a two-day visit to attend the "Dhaka Meeting of the Global Commission on Adaptation (GCA)".
Senior Secretary of Public Welfare Ministry Zuena Aziz, Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen's wife Selina Momen, and senior officials of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Ministry were present with Yoo Soon-taek during her visit on Wednesday.
Executive Director and Principal of Proyash Col Md Nurul Huda welcomed Soon-taek, and informed her of the institute's activities. She later inspected different initiatives, such as the Early Childhood Development (ECDP) program, and others.
At that time, she spent time with the students and their guardians. Later, the guests attended a cultural event.
Proyash students and teachers, with the help of Public Welfare Ministry and the army, have been leaving their mark in the national, and international arenas by attaining remarkable achievements.
