Tania Akter has sought help from the government and police to track her missing husband, IT expert Ataur Rahman Shahin.
In a press conference held on Wednesday, she claimed that it has been two months since her husband was picked up from Dhaka's Tejgaon area in May by unknown miscreants.
A case was filed with Tejgaon Industrial Police Station on May 4, two days after the disappearance; however, police is yet to find any trace of him.
Tania said: "From the CCTV footage, I saw Shahin get out of his office around 7:22pm on May 2. He was waiting for a ride-sharing motorcycle when some miscreants dragged him into a white microbus and drove off."
Tania went to the speaker of the national parliament, the home minister, the National Human Rights Commission to seek assistance in tracking her missing husband.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (AC) of Tejgaon Industrial Zone Salman Hasan told Dhaka Tribune: “We are still investigating, but do not have any updates yet.”
