Some 2,000 fixed-line land phones of Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited (BTCL) under '982 serial in Gulshan area will remain inoperative for seven days.
The home phones would be offline due to a pre-planned upgradation, and the shifting work of branch telephone exchange at Banani DCC market.
The shifting will begin Wednesday midnight, said a BTCL release on Tuesday.
According to BTCL press release, the home phone connections will be re-activated immediately after the shifting work is completed.
BTCL authorities expressed regret for the inconvenience to its customers.
