Woman killed in Dhaka road accident

A woman has died after two vehicles collided on Elephant road in Dhaka.

The accident took place around 6:30am on Saturday.

Confirming the accident, Inspector Bachchu Mia, in-charge of DMCH police outpost, said eight people were injured in the accident and were admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

The doctors declared Fulbibi, 50—from Patuakhali—dead.

Kajol Rekha—one of the injured and daughter in-law of Fulbibi—said they had come from Patuakhali to admit her ill father-in-law at Anwar Khan Modern Medical College, but then: "The accident occurred on our way from Sadarghat."
