Police have recovered a woman’s decayed dead body from a drain in Dhaka’s Pallabi area on Tuesday night.
However, police could not identify the body while the report was being filed.
The saree-clad deceased woman’s age was estimated to be 30 to 35.
Confirming the matter, Pallabi police station’s Sub-Inspector (SI) Saiful Islam said that they recovered a woman dead body from Adorsho Nagar area in Pallabi around 9:30pm after being informed about the matter.
He also said that police suspect that she died days before she was found.
“We did not find any injury marks on the deceased’s body. Her body has been sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College morgue for autopsy,” the police SI added.
However, police could not identify the body and are trying to find out the deceased person’s identity, he added.
