Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said nothing will stop the authorities from evicting Old Dhaka’s chemical warehouses.
He made the remark while addressing the press at the Home Ministry in Dhaka on Sunday.
He said: “Prime Minsiter Sheikh Hasina is very serious regarding this issue and has already issued guidelines in this regard.
"Authorities concerned are working accordingly," he added.
Commenting on those who are opposing the eviction drive, the home minister said: “They will eventually understand and help the government in this effort, I believe.”
The home minister also said the government will provide all kinds of help to Dhaka South City Corporation Mayor Sayeed Khokon in the ongoing eviction drive.
