To prepare for the Dhaka North and Dhaka South city corporation elections, the Election Commission had banned all private cars on Thursday, February 28, 2019.
But, considering the public inconvenience, the chief election commissioner has said that the transport prohibition will not be extended to buses.
He said that SSC exam candidates can also use private cars but will have to show their ID cards.
Other than that, the prohibition will stay imposed.
The traffic advisory update was issued during a media briefing at Agargaon on Tuesday.
