A newborn baby girl—who was rescued from a women's ward bathroom at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) on Sunday—has died.
Confirming the matter to the Dhaka Tribune DMCH police station Inspector Md Bachchu Mia said: "The rescued baby was undergoing treatment here. She was admitted here around 7am on Sunday."
She died the same day around 7pm.
Bachchu added: "The body has been kept in the hospital morgue."
Earlier on Sunday morning, a ward employee rescued a newborn baby from a women's ward bathroom at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH).
Later, the rescued baby was admitted to the hospital for proper care.
