Women’s activist organization Naripokkho has condemned the attack on Gonoshasthaya Kendra’s PHA building, Gono University girls’ hostel and the vandalism of Gonoshasthaya Pharmaceuticals.
The organization also said they strongly condemn the attackers for their rude behaviour and vulgar language with the female students at the hostel, at a press release issued in Sunday.
The organization also said that the police was reluctant and did not cooperate in filing a general diary (GD) after the incident.
Naripokkho in the press release has demanded the government prevent any such future incidents.
A group of men, allegedly followers of people who have in recent times filed cases against Gonoshasthaya Kendra (GK) founder Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury, vandalized establishments in the university, looted valuables and beat up several people on Friday.
Police arrived at the scene afterwards and brought the situation under control, but they have not made any arrests.
