An alleged group of Bangladesh Chhatra League activists have tried to disperse protesters stationed at the Katabon intersection demanding safer roads.
The group of 70-80 alleged Bangladesh Chhatra League men formed a procession in the City College area in Dhaka and marched towards Shahbag area chanting different slogans.
Police was seen accompanying the procession.
They fired several rounds of tear shells and dispersed the protesters.
The alleged Chhatra League procession was then seen marching towards Shahbag area.
