The Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has set Tk2,567.45 crore as its operating budget for the 2018-19 fiscal year.
The city’s panel mayor, Md Osman Gani, announced the budget during a press briefing at Nagar Bhaban Monday afternoon.
During the briefing, Osman said the corporation has targeted to generate Tk857.20 crore from its own source.
Tk200 crore will come from government development fund and Tk1,300 crore will come as foreign aid, he said.
In this fiscal year, the city corporation has allocated for development Tk1,962.80 crore which is about 76% of total budget, he said.
In last fiscal, DNCC’s budget was set at Tk2,384.80 crore, which was later revised at Tk1,678.21 crore.
Earlier last week, the Dhaka South City Corporation also announced a Tk3,598.75 crore budget for the 2018-19 fiscal year.
