Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Sayeed Khokon’s stage came crashing down while he was listening to the complaints of the people in Nalipara, Paribag around 12:30pm on Thursday.
Fortunately, none of the 30-35 people who were up on stage were hurt despite the crash.
Because of the accident, the mayor ended the event after answering only a few questions.

Titled “Public representative meets the public,” the event held near the gate next to Paribag Mosque saw the mayor answering queries and listening to requests and suggestions from the audience. At around 12:30pm, the stage suddenly collapsed.
After getting up, Khokon said: “Thank God none of us were hurt. Everyone is okay.”
