Rajuk demolishes Banani 11 American Burger, Chilekotha

Authorities of Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) on Sunday morning demolished the Banani 11 branch of American Burger, along with a restaurant called Chilekotha, using bulldozers. According to Assistant Director of Rajuk Public Relations Atikur Rahman, this was part of a regular drive by Rajuk to curb unlawful land occupation. The establishments had been served with warnings beforehand and action was taken only after they failed to comply. The incident has garnered a considerable outpouring of concern from various social media as the restaurants in question were quite popular, especially among the youth.
