JCI Dhaka Sparks targets inclusive development

The Junior Chamber International has launched a new extension-- JCI Dhaka Sparks with a focus on inclusive development. 

The new chapter was launched at an inauguration ceremony held at the Gulshan Club on Friday where the new board of directors took their oaths. 

The President of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) Md Jashim Uddin joined the inauguration program as the chief guest while JCI Bangladesh President Niaz Morshed Elite presided over the event.

Shahmina Isha Mannan, who will lead the Board Members as the 2022 founding local president of JCI Dhaka Sparks, emphasized four key areas of work. The areas are– health and hygiene for the needy, promoting diversity and inclusion, skills transfer and job placement and sustainable consumer practices. 

JCI Dhaka Sparks will also target changing the lives of 50 young people and five new startups through its partner organizations.

The new extension is a combination of versatile members comprising of members from diversified sectors and professions, all sharing the fiery spirit for positive and responsible impact to the challenges of the society.

The JCI is a non-profit organization, currently active in over 120 nations and provides the prestigious global leadership platform for young people aged 18 to 40. 

In Bangladesh, it has over 2,000 members in various local chapters working directly under the leadership of JCI Bangladesh.
