Police have arrested a person along with a firearm, ammunition and yaba pills from Amirabad area under Lohagara upazila in Chittagong on Monday morning.
The arrestee is Mohammed Didar, 35, son of Ahmed Hossain of Dorjipara area of Amirabad, said Lohagara police station’s Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Shahjahan.
Police recovered a homemade LG, two rounds of cartridge and 150 pieces of yaba tablets from his possession, added the OC.
The OC said following a tip-off, police raided his house at Dorjipara area at around 5am and arrested him along with seizing the firearm and yaba pills.
He was an accused in 10 cases filed with Lohagara police station in connection with different charges, said the OC.
