A heroin dealer has been sentenced to life term imprisonment in Natore Monday afternoon.
District and Session Judge Lutfa Begum handed down the verdict against the convict Umar Faruk, son of Munsur Ali, of Kadirgonj village of Rajshahi.
Sirujul Islam, Public Prosecutor (PP) of Natore judge court said the district's Narcotics Control Department seized 50gm heroin after searching Faruk's body in a passenger bus on November 17, 2011.
A case under the drugs act was filed against Faruk with Sadar police station in this connection.
