RU teacher sued over Facebook post

Motihar police station OC Humayun Kabir said RU Registrar Prof Entajul Haque filed a GD against Kazi Jahidur Rahman, assistant professor of Computer Science and Engineering department, on November 8 for spreading fabricated information about the activities of the university through his Facebook posts. After investigation, police recorded the complaint as a case Monday night. Recently Jahidur Rahman posted a status over the corruption and irregularities of the university’s digitalisation programme. Later, the RU authorities sought an explanation on his voice. Prof Chowdhury Sarwar Jahan, pro vice-chancellor of the university, said the university filed the case against Jahidur Rahman as he failed to come forth with proper explanation about his post.
