9 petrol bombs, 3 crude bombs recovered in Tangail

Police have recovered nine petrol bombs and three crude bombs from a pile of thatch owned by a local Awami League member of Dholapara union unit in Tangail.

Police recovered the ammunition from the home of Helal Uddin on Sunday morning.

Ghatail OC Maksud Alam said: “Helal's brother Abu Syed went to bring thatch from the pile when he noticed the petrol and crude bombs in a carton.”

Later, police went to the spot and made the recovery.

However, police did not detain anyone in this connection.

Awami League's general secretary of Dholapara union ward 9 Abdul Hamid confirmed Helal's identity as a party member.
