Miscreants have slaughtered a housewife at Bhuiyom village under Narsingdi sadar upazila.
The deceased is Rehena Begum, 35, wife of Khoka Mia.
Rehena's husband Khoka Mia said his wife was not responding when he knocked on the door of their home around 12am. Then he entered their home using the back door, and found his wife's slaughtered body.
He alleged some jewelry had also been stolen from his room.
On being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Narsingdi sadar hospital for autopsy.
Narsingdi model police station OC KM Abul Kashem said it was a planned murder.
"Police primarily suspected the murder might have occurred following a land dispute," said the OC.
