Police have arrested 30 people, including five BNP-Jamaat activists, for carrying out subversive activities in Sunamganj.
Sunamganj SP Md Harun-or-Rashid said the drives were conducted from Thursday night till Friday morning.
He said police would continue such drives to keep the law and order situation under control.
So far, more than 70 people have died and scores have been injured in different parts of the country in violence during the non-stop blockade enforced by the BNP-led alliance.
Law enforcers continued a crackdown on alleged anarchists in different parts of the country.
The BNP led 20-party alliance has been enforcing a non-stop nationwide blockade since January 5 in protest against the “confinement” of party chief Khaleda Zia.
