Police detectives have arrested a person in possession of a firearm from Sadar Bazar area under Fultola upazila in Khulna.
The arrestee is Md Habibur Rahman Sheikh, son of Sazzad Sheikh of the upazila.
Khulna DB Police Officer-in-Charge Rokonuzzman said: “A team of police detectives conducted a drive on Saturday night and arrested Habibur from a sweet shop in possession with a 7.65 bore pistol."
A case has been filed under the Arms Act with Fultola police station, he said.
