A Dhaka court has ordered to exhume the body of Dr Shamarukh Mahjabin for her fresh postmortem.
Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Bikash Kumar Saha made the order on Tuesday.
Earlier in the day, Mahjabin’s father engineer Nurul Islam filed a plea in this regard to the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court.
The court asked the deputy commissioner of Jessore to appoint an executive magistrate to exhume the body of Dr Shamarukh from Karbala Government Graveyard in the district.
The court also directed to form a three-member body including Jessore Civil Surgeon for her fresh postmortem.
Dr Shamaruf Mahzabin Kona, Humayun's 24-year old wife, was apparently found hanging in the bathroom of her in-law’s Dhanmondi house on Thursday afternoon.
Her father, Nurul Islam, filed a murder case against Humayun and also implicated the former lawmaker of Jessore Khan Tipu Sultan and his wife.
