Teacher jailed for helping student during JDC exams

A mobile court yesterday jailed a madrasa teacher for three months on charges of helping a girl student in Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations to solve a mathematics question.

The court, led by Executive Magistrate Ruhul Amin of Chittagong district, passed the order, according to a press release.

Harun Ur Rashid, teacher of Darul Ulum Madrasha, was an on- duty  invigilator at the mathematics examination at an examination venue in the district yesterday.

He went to another examination hall and helped the female student to solve a mathematics question. He was caught red handed by a mobile court. 

The court punished him under Public Examination Act 1980.
