Stalker beats schoolgirl in Natore

A stalker has severely beaten a class nine female student at her residence in Narayanpara village under Tebaria union of Sadar upazila in Natore early Wednesday.

The accused is a mill worker Imran Hossein Tushar, step-son of Abdur Rahim of the village.

Inspector (investigation) of Sadar police station Abdus Sattar, said: “Tushar was stalking the victim for one long year. He also injured the victim’s father about seven months ago due to making complaints against Tushar to his parents.”

On the day, the victim’s family was out of home for her father’s treatment. She was all alone at her residence, the police official said.

Being informed, Tushar went to the victim’s house at around 10:30am and tried to molest her. As the victim protested, he got angry and beat her up badly, he added.

Hearing the victim’s scream, locals rushed to the spot and rescued her. Later, they admitted her to local hospital, the official further said.

Meanwhile Tushar, managed to flee from the scene.

On information, a team of police raided Tushar's residence and detained his step father Abdur Rahim for interrogation.

Police are trying to detain the stalker, Inspector Sattar said. 

Filing of a case in this connection is underway with the police station, he said.
