Police have arrested a leader of Dhunat upazila unit of Jubo League on charge of snatching a drug peddlers from the law enforcers.
The arrestee is Alim Al-Raji Bullet, vice-president of Dhunat upazila Jubo League.
Dhunat police station Officer-in-charge Md Ziaur Rahman said: "Police detained drug peddler Jahangir Hossain from a house in Sadar Para area around 9:30pm. A group of Jubo League activists led by Bullet obstructed police and snatched Jahangir from them."
Later, police arrested Bullet following the incident.
Two cases were filed against Bullet in this connection, said the OC.
