Crude bombs hurled on BSMMU director’s car

The car carrying Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Hospital Director Brigadier General (Retd) Abdul Majid Bhuiyan has come under crude bombs attack in the capital.

The director was slightly injured, reports BSS.

The bomb attack was launched in front of Rupashi Bangla Hotel at 4:35pm on Sunday.

Shahabagh police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sirajul Islam said the miscreants launched the attack after Majid's car left the hospital and reached the road in front of Rupashi Bangla Hotel.

The miscreants fled the scene after hurling two bombs one after another, leaving the car damaged.

A case was filed with Shahabagh police in this connection.

Efforts are on to arrest those involved in the incident, the OC said.
