A mobile court of Rapid Action Battalion fined two fake cosmetic factories at Puthia in Rajshahi Tuesday with Tk1.25 lakh for keeping unapproved and expired beauty products.
The mobile court led by Operation Officer of RAB 5, Rajshahi Khaleda Begum conducted drives at Modern Cosmetic and Madona Cosmetics in the afternoon and found the illegal and expired cosmetics.
Members of the elite forces also destroyed cosmetics worth around Tk7 lakh.
Khaleda Begum said: “We fined Modona Cosmetic Tk1 lakh for selling illegal face wash and Tk25,000 to Modern Cosmetic for selling expired cosmetics.”
