Police have rescued an abducted contractor Mohammad Abu Bakar after two hours of his abduction.

The rival group kidnapped Bakar from in front of Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) office on Tuesday morning over tender dispute.

Police nabbed three persons of the rival, Jahed Group, in connection with the incident, he said.

After being rescued, victim Bakar, enlisted contractor of CCC, said about five people forcibly picked him up on a CNG-run auto-rickshaw from CCC office area at 11:45am as he was standing there after submitting documents for the tender of a CCC’s cattle market named Postarpar Goat Market.
