Police have arrested four Shibir activists in connection with the crude bombs attacks on two Chittagong University teachers’ buses that left at least 10 teachers injured on Wednesday
They have been detained from the Hathajari sadar area on Friday night.
Hajhajari police station Officer-in-Charge Ismail Hossain said four Shibir activists including secretary of Alawal hall Baitul-mal fund and an associate member were arrested during a raid in the area.
Police were interrogating the Shibir activists, added OC Ismail.
At least 14 people, including 10 teachers, were injured in a crude bomb attack on two Chittagong University buses.
The incident took place in Chharpool area of Patayabad under Hathazari upazila in Chittagong on Wednesday morning.
CU transport department acting director Rabiul Islam filed a case against 15-20 unnamed persons on that night.
