One held for attempting to hijack police vehicle in Chuadanga

A hijacker was detained by police in Chuadanga's Alamdanga upazila early on Wednesday. The detainee, Azizul Islam, was found with a gun and a round of bullets when his gang attempted to hijack a vehicle that belonged to the upazila Detective Branch (DB) of police. Chuadanga DB SI Ibrahim said: “A team of DB police was en route to Roakuli Matpara when a group of hijackers stopped their microbus. The police quickly sneaked out of the car which alerted the miscreants. They tried to flee the scene but the police caught and detained Azizul.” Alamdanga police station OC Akram Hossain confirmed that a case has been filed in connection to this incident.
