A businessman's house has been allegedly attacked, vandalised and looted at Barkul village under Barmi union of Sreepur upazila in the district on Monday
The businessman, Al-Amin, alleged that the attackers looted valuable belongings from the house.
He filed a case with Sreepur model police station accusing Alim Uddin, Safiz Uddin, Mafizuddin, Chhafir Uddin and Badal Miah.
OC Mohsin-ul-Qadir of Sreepur model police said this to the Dhaka Tribune.
According to the case statement, the family of Al-Amin had been living on a land owned by his wife, Roxana Khatun. However, they had a conflict with Abbas Ali over the land.
At 9am on Monday, Alim Uddin, led the attack along with 7-8 more, vandalised and looted the house, reads the statement.
Sabina Khatun, Roxana's elder sister, was seriously injured as she tried to resist the attackers.
She has been admitted to the Upazila Health Complex.
Drive to arrest the accused was underway, the OC said.
