Police have detained 13 men for carrying concealed knives and other sharp weapons despite strict instructions.
Chowkbazar OC Shamimur Rashid Talukdar told the Dhaka Tribune that they were detained around 4:30pm as a preventive measure.
He added that they were not arrested and would be released after a formal procedure.
Hossaini Dalan Superintendent Mirza Firoz Hussain said he heard that around 20 people were arrested for the same reasons, but were later released.
