Two persons have sustained bullet injures when an armed gang launched a gun attack on them storming their office of cable TV business in the capital’s Bhatara.
Meanwhile, a tense situation was prevailing in the area immediately after the gun attack as two local groups were engaged in controlling the cable business, said local sources.
The injured persons identified as Mohammad Parvej Alam, 26, and Sabuj Saha, 35, were rushed to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) with bullet wounds in different parts of their bodies.
Both the bullet hit persons were the employees of ‘Skyline Cable Network’ located on the 2nd floor of a building at Khilbarirtek in Bhatara.
Describing the gun attack incident, witness Mahfuzur Rahman, another employee of the office, told reporters at the DMCH: “Three armed criminals stormed the office around 9pm and asked for the manager Md Manik of the office.”
“As Manik had been absent in the office, the criminals opened gunfire indiscriminately leaving Parvej and Sabuj injured with bullet," said Mahfuzur.
