A family related quarrel between the father and his son resulted into the death of the son when the father allegedly hit his son with an iron made pipe at his head early Wednesday in the capital’s Rampura.
The CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver father Dulal Miah, 50, went into a hiding following the death of his son rickshaw-puller Alam MIah, 20.
Nadia, the wife of deceased Alam said her father-in-law hit her husband with a pipe made of iron at around 4am following a quarrel between the father and son at their house in capital’s Bagichartek under Rampura police station.
“Alam was rushed to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where the doctors declared Alam dead at around 5:30am,” said Nadia while talking to the journalists at the hospital.
Sub-Inspector Saiful Islam of Rampura police station said they heard of such an incident and forces were sent to know details about it.
