Traffickers sold a teenage girl of Fatullah in Narayanganj to a brothel in India whom they were supposed to send to Dubai for Work.
The victim’s mother came to know about the incident after the victim called her over phone from India.
Lipi Akhter, the mother of the victim lodged a general diary with Fatullah Model police station accusing her neighbors in this connection.
Lipi said Kaiyum, a broker lived next to their house at South Sheharchar area of Fatullah.
He and his wife Moyna allured her teenage daughter and family of sending her abroad for work and took Tk30,000 from them for this purpose on March 8 this year.
The victim called her mother on Saturday last and informed that she had been sold to a brothel in India.
When contacted, Officer-in-Charge of Fatullah Model police station Akhter Hossain said they were investigating the matter.
