Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) rescued three kids while they were being trafficked to India through Amalsid bordering area in Sylhet on Saturday morning.
The kids are identified as Mahbub Ahmed, 8, Halima Akhter, 9 and Sharmin Akhter, 9 of Baktipur village of Sylhet.
BGB detained suspected trafficker Shahab Uddin Saju, 25, hailed from the Amalsid border area.
BGB-41 Battalion Commander Lt Col Shah Alam Chowdhury said: “BGB patrol team held Saju while he was trying to cross the border illegally with three kidnapped kids at around 9am.”
A case is progressing in this connection, he added.
